Get Involved!

Along with our athletics and fine arts program, we also offer a variety of other opportunities for our students to get involved and build leadership skills. We encourage each of our students to consider each opportunity listed below:

FFA

Details coming soon!

National Junior High Honor Society

We base our selection to the APJHS Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society on five criteria:

  • Scholarship
  • Leadership
  • Service
  • Character
  • Citizenship

Faculty set the grade point requirement for a scholarship at a 3.7 GPA. We require each student member to maintain a quarterly and semester GPA of 3.7 or higher. The faculty will select qualified students for membership by majority vote on the basis of the above criteria. Faculty members will make their selection at the end of the third nine-week grading period.

Robotics

We invite students interested in engineering, research, and science to join our Robotics team. We participate in many fun and challenging competitions throughout the year. The goal of our program is to inspire and excite future generations of researchers, engineers, and scientists.

Student Council

The Artesia Park Junior High School Student Council is a service organization. The members composing the student council are the elected presidents of each homeroom. The council has regular and called meetings for discussion of school business and projects.
